A man admitted damaging a police car after jumping on the windscreen while it was parked in a hospital car park.

Kent Police said the man “jumped up and down several times” and damaged the car’s bonnet, windscreen and roof at Medway Hospital on Monday.

Ch Insp Garry Cook, district commander for Medway, said it was a "mindless act of vandalism which caused a response vehicle to be out of commission".

The man pleaded guilty to criminal damage before magistrates on Wednesday. He was bailed and will appear before magistrates again in August.
