Post Office hires new inquiry chief, head of financial crime compliance
CVs in the post
Over at the Post Office, the board is recruiting several senior roles.
One is the Inquiry Operations and Strategy Director, who is there to “support Post Office’s work to rebuild trust with postmasters” according to the job ad.
Successful candidates must “navigate a politically sensitive and complex environment” and will need “a level of comfort in challenging the status quo.” So if someone reports an IT issue, don’t just assume they’re a criminal.
Another role on offer is for a new “Head of Financial Crime Compliance,” who must “proactively identify current fraud trends…ensuring that all activity and transactions that are identified as potentially suspicious are investigated, reviewed and resolved.” Sub-postmasters beware.
Candidates must be capable of “discretion dealing with sensitive and confidential work.” No leaking to Computer Weekly.
Best wishes to everyone who applies. With a bit of luck, you might not get the job.
