Prince George Corrects Little Brother Prince Louis on Buckingham Palace Balcony — See What He Said

The moment was reminiscent of Queen Elizabeth slightly scolding Prince William at the same event, Trooping the Colour, in 2016

Princess Charlotte isn't the only one making sure little brother Prince Louis learns the royal ropes. Prince George is also on the job!

Kate Middleton and Prince William's three children helped celebrate their grandfather King Charles' official birthday on June 15 at Trooping the Colour. After taking part in the procession through London in a horse-drawn carriage, the royal siblings stepped out on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the event's grand finale: a flypast by the Royal Air Force.

As seen in a video shared on X, 6-year-old Prince Louis turned around to chat with dad Prince William, who stood behind him. Prince George, 10, appeared to tell his brother, "Turn around," and gestured for him to face forward — and Louis obeyed!

The moment was reminiscent of the same event in 2016. At one point, Prince William kneeled down to point out something to Prince George. However, his grandmother Queen Elizabeth quickly gestured for him to stand up straight, and William popped back up.

Princess Charlotte, 9, also kept Prince Louis following royal protocol during Trooping the Colour's balcony appearance on Saturday. She was spotted telling her little brother how to hold his arms as the national anthem played.

Earlier in the event, Princess Charlotte appeared to tell Prince Louis to "stop" as he danced around to the band's music at Horse Guards' Parade.

The youngest child of Prince William and Princess Kate also played with a curtain cord during the presentation at Horse Guards' Parade and was spotted in another clip shared on social media yawning on the balcony during the ceremony (just like he did at King Charles' coronation on May 6, 2023).

The Prince and Princess of Wales' kids are all pros when it comes to Buckingham Palace balcony appearances, having made many outings at the royal residence since they were babies. Prince George had his balcony debut at his first Trooping the Colour in 2015 in the arms of his father, while Princess Charlotte joined her parents and older brother for the first time the following year. Prince Louis stole the show in 2019, enthusiastically waving and pointing during his first balcony moment.

Prince Louis is known for showing off his playful personality at royal events. At Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022, his enthusiastic waves, animated faces and interactions with older siblings made him an instant meme online.

"He's a cheeky monkey — a typical third child," someone who knows the family told PEOPLE following the celebration of Queen Elizabeth's 70 years on the throne. "It's nice that the world got to see him enjoying himself."

Even Prince William and Princess Kate couldn't help but acknowledge their son's scene-stealing behavior. The royal couple ended the four days of celebrations by sharing a social media post that said, "We all had an incredible time, especially Louis…" with the eyes emoji.

Princess Kate joined her children at Trooping the Colour, marking her first public appearance with the royal family since announcing her cancer diagnosis in March. Her last royal outing came at Christmas when she joined the family at their annual holiday walk to church.

Princess Kate maintained a low profile in the months since her cancer announcement, but she was recently spotted out with her family as well as running errands solo, sources told PEOPLE. The royal mom of three said in her June 14 health update that she is "starting to do a little work from home" and expressed a "hope to join a few public engagements over the summer," however, there is no official timeline for her to make a full return to royal duties. Any outings in the near future will be based on when she feels able with the guidance of her medical team.
