Princess Mary stuns with surprising hidden detail in outfit

Princess Mary has revealed a different side as she traded in her usual glamorous gowns for a much more casual look.

The Crown Princess of Denmark was snapped wearing a tangerine Scanlan Theodore blazer and matching pants while visiting the Netherlands for the Dutch-Danish business conference. However, she teamed her sophisticated outfit with some casual sneakers.

It's a surprising look for the Australian-born royal, but fans have praised her for her relatable fashion choice.

"Love that Crown Princess Mary changed into sneakers for one of her engagements on Day 1 of the Netherlands trip,' one wrote on Twitter.

"Comfort, practicality first ... fashion show second! She looks fantastic!"

The Herald Sun reports Princess Mary had purchased the tailored pantsuit from Aussie designer Scanlan Theodore herself from a boutique store in the illustrious suburb of Brighton in Melbourne's southeast.

The Scanlan Theodore Tailored Jacket Coral retails for $900, with the matching Crepe Knit Square Camisole priced at $200 and the Tailored Wide Leg Trouser costing $550.

The publication reports the outfit has been in high demand since the royal was snapped wearing it to her latest engagement, with a number of sizes already sold out on the brand's website.

“Scanlan Theodore is proud to have Princess Mary dressed in the brand,” a spokeswoman for the designer told the Herald Sun.

“There is a consistent interest around her style choices and popularity for the pieces she wears.

“Crafted as a contemporary interpretation of feminine tailoring, the suit is designed with Scanlan Theodore’s signature aesthetic, infused with a bold coral hue to uplift winter ensembles.”

Princess Mary is often praised for the subtle details in her outfits, with the royal donning the tiara she wore to her own wedding when she attended the recent nuptials of Prince Gustav of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg and Carina Axelsson.

Earlier this year she stunned fans when she recycled a blue Valentino dress she previously wore during a royal visit to Japan in 2019.

She has been outspoken about the importance of sustainability when it comes to fashion, with some of her fashion choices dating as far back as 10 years.

At the launch of the 2021 Copenhagen Fashion Summit, the royal said we must take responsibility for what we buy and use and the impact of it on future generations.
