Bridge repairs continue near train station

A stretch of the A38 in Cornwall remains partially closed after a collision on Saturday involving three vehicles.

National Highways said a bridge was struck near Bodmin Parkway railway station on Saturday afternoon and police, fire and ambulance crews attended the scene.

A road closure was in place on Saturday in both directions between the A390 roundabout at Dobwalls and the A30 junction at Bodmin.

On Sunday, National Highways said the road was now "partially blocked" while bridge repairs continued, with temporary traffic lights replacing a full diversion.

National Highways said a specialist structural engineer is working with them on the repairs, and they are also dealing with debris and spillage from the collision.
