Ryan Gosling, America Ferrera and Kate McKinnon Reprise “Barbie ”Roles in New Oscars 2024 Promo — Watch

Helen Mirren also returned as the narrator of the fun clip that aired Monday during 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'

Ryan Gosling, America Ferrera and Kate McKinnon are back in Barbie Land!

The actors reprised their Barbie roles in a hilarious new Oscars 2024 promo, which aired Monday night during Jimmy Kimmel Live! — a fitting debut, considering Jimmy Kimmel is set to host the Academy Awards for the fourth time.

The promo opens with a voiceover from Helen Mirren, who previously narrated the Greta Gerwig-directed nominated film, as Kimmel, 56, attempts to make sense of an Oscars Road Map.

"Since the dawn of time, men have been getting lost. This is the story of one such dumb-dumb," says Mirren, 78, before Kimmel makes his way up to the eccentric home of Weird Barbie (McKinnon, 40).

Kimmel is soon greeted by Weird Barbie — seen doing the splits, of course — who refers to him "Mid-Life-Crisis Ken," "Lost Everything in the Divorce Ken" and "Probably Should've Got a Size Up in That Tuxedo Ken," before he informs her of his dilemma.

"I'm hosting the Oscars and I'm lost, and I really need to get back to Hollywood," he tells Weird Barbie, who responds, "Did you find GPS threatening to your masculinity?"

"I have just the thing for you, Kimmy Jimmel," she continues. "Let's go."

After reviewing a map of Oscars Land with the host, the two jump into the Weird Wagon and drive past scenes from several nominated films, including Killers of the Flower Moon, Maestro, Oppenheimer and Poor Things.

"Hey look, it's Even Weirder Barbie," McKinnon's character says, pointing to Bella Baxter, Emma Stone's boundary-pushing undead character in Poor Things. "Hey Bella! She's my cousin."

Kimmel and Weird Barbie eventually make it to the venue, where Gloria (Ferrera, 39) appears in a hot-pink blazer and delivers a version of her famous Barbie monologue as she breaks down the difficulties of hosting the Academy Awards.

"I think what you're saying is hosting the Oscars is even harder than being a woman!" Kimmel says in response, before Gloria tells him, "No ... no, that's ... that's not all what I was saying."

Ken (Gosling, 43) — wearing sunglasses and his tie-dye "I Am Kenough" sweatshirt, naturally — then pops up in the backseat of the Weird Wagon holding a bag of fast food and declares to the group, "I got In-N-Out."

"It's kind this cool social media trend where you get it before the Oscars," he adds, before taking a sip of his drink.

"Oh hey, Ryan. Um, actually, I think the trend is to have In-N-Out after the Oscars — actually, after you've won the Oscar," Kimmel says.

"Oh, well that's not gonna happen," Gosling replies, tossing his In-N-Out order out of the vehicle. "Good thing Greta's got [Best] Director in the bag."

"Oh, um, Ryan?" says Ferrera, before leaning over to whisper something in his ear — no doubt the news that Gerwig, 40, is not nominated in the directing category, despite helming the No. 1 movie of the year at the box office — and everyone screams.

As Kimmel and Gosling continue to yell, Mirren's voice proclaims, "Girls grow into women, but not all boys grow into men. Some remain hopelessly stuck in a loop of infantile foolishness."

Barbie is up for eight awards at this year's Oscars ceremony, including Best Adapted Screenplay for Gerwig and her husband and co-writer, Noah Baumbach, as well as Best Actor for Gosling and Best Supporting Actress for Ferrera.

And while star Margot Robbie is absent from the Best Actress category, she is eligible for an Academy Award in the Best Picture category as a co-producer of the film.

The 96th Academy Awards will be held Sunday, March 10, inside the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood in Los Angeles, and will air live on ABC at 7 p.m. ET.
