Sarah Jessica Parker Channelled Her Inner Miranda Priestly On 'AJLT' S3 Set
Sarah Jessica Parker has always been synonymous with fashion, thanks to her iconic role as Carrie Bradshaw in the early Noughties TV show Sex And The City and, in recent years, its reboot And Just Like That. But in the perfect blend of fact and fiction, SJP has shown that she's as much a wordsmith as a writer in the series as she is in real life. After all, Parker regularly talks about the importance of reading, and how books have played a substantial part in her childhood.
Let's not forget that in 2017 the actor started an imprint with Crown Publishing Group, SJP for Hogarth, and in 2022 she launched another imprint, SJP Lit, with the independent publisher Zando.
While filming the third season of And Just Like That earlier this week, the 59-year-old actor was photographed reading the Irish author Sally Rooney's advanced copy of Intermezzo, which is due to be released on September 24, 2024.
In doing so, she channelled her inner Miranda Priestly (anyone remember the traumatic day at work Andy had trying to get an advanced manuscript of the most recent unpublished Harry Potter book for the twins in The Devil Wears Prada?), and we couldn't love it more.
