Saskatoon police report city's 10th homicide of the year after early morning stabbing

Saskatoon police say a 29-year-old man is dead after a stabbing early Monday morning.

Police say they got a report around 3 a.m. CST about an injured man the 800 block of 22nd Street W. Officer who responded found a man with stab wounds.

The victim was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police say they continue to investigate.

This is the Saskatoon's 10th homicide of the year. The city had a total of 12 homicides in 2023, 13 in 2022 and seven in 2021. The most homicides recorded in a year in Saskatoon was 16 in 2019.
