June is National Indigenous History Month, a time to celebrate the rich culture and history of Indigenous peoples. We're highlighting some of the powerful Indigenous content produced in Atlantic Canada that you can watch on CBC Gem.

The Forgotten Warriors - This Absolutely Canadian documentary tells the story of the 1983 Miawpukek hunger strike. You watch it on CBC Gem here, or read more about the documentary and its emotional premiere in this story by Jessica Singer.

Land & Sea: The Gathering - Every fall in Gull Island, Labrador, Innu communities reconnect with nature and live off the land at the annual Manishan Nui gathering.
