Shawn Johnson Gets 5 New Tattoos in 1 Sitting — Including a Sweet Tribute to Husband Andrew East
She also got 3 tattoos for her kids, Drew Hazel, Jett James and Barrett Madison
Shawn Johnson should be winning a gold medal for coolest wife and mom.
The American gymnast, 32, told her Instagram followers she “did a few things” when she was off parent duty for the day, later revealing that she had casually gotten five new tats all over her body — and in one fell swoop!
Johnson worked with Tiny Tat Club studio on her collection of brand new ink, which were mostly dedicated to her husband, Andrew East, and their three little ones: daughter Drew Hazel, 4, and sons Jett James, 2, and Barrett Madison East, who the couple welcomed in December.
In videos shared to her Instagram Story on Tuesday, the retired athlete revealed that she had gotten two of her children’s names tattooed on both of her elbows and the third on her tricep, as well as a tiny cursive “a” for East, 32. She also got a cute illustration of a honeybee near one of her wrists.
Before the big reveal, she posted a video of her during her studio session captioned with: "So I did a thing — maybe a few things"

Johnson met East, a retired NFL player, shortly after she retired in 2012 and they got married in 2016 in Tennessee.
The pair welcomed Hazel in 2019. In 2021, they welcomed Jett. When Johnson birthed Barrett — who they lovingly refer to as Bear — via cesarean section last year, she and East said they couldn't have been “more thrilled” about the newest addition to their family, as shared in a statement to PEOPLE. "Both baby and mom are doing great, and we are counting our blessings!"
Johnson also gushed over her husband in January, writing that she loves "doing life" with him.
"Things my husband doesn't know," she wrote in her Instagram. "I count down the hours until he gets home because I miss him."
She went on to explain that she loves "the way he lights up our home with his presence" and "the way he loves me and our children."
"I love the way he handles my attitude with grace," she concluded. "The little things he does will never go unnoticed."
