Sia Says The Kardashians Are The Hardest Working People She's Ever Met
Sia has spoken of her surprising friendship with the Kardashian family and paid particular tribute to Kim for making her feel 'safe'.
The relationship between the Australian singer and Kim, Kourtney and other members of the famous family is an unexpected one given Sia's preference to live her life anonymously and famously wear face-covering wigs to mask her identity. Meanwhile, the reality stars have documented their lives for 13 years on the hit reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
The 'Chandelier' singer appeared on Boston radio station Mix 104.1 a couple of days ago where she revealed she met the Kardashian family through Jennifer Lopez.
'I love those girls,' Sia said of the Kardashian sisters. 'They have been really nice to me in the last couple of years.'
Sia, who recently revealed she is now a parent (and grandparent!) after adopting two 18-year-old boys ageing out of the foster system, detailed how their meeting coincided with recovering from PTSD and focusing on complex PTSD trauma recovery so she rarely left the house in a three-year period, apart from when she started to attend Kanye West's Sunday Service events.
'I would be with a group of them on Sundays and then afterwards we would sometimes go to Kourtney's house and swim and hang out,' the Grammy winner explained.
'I just felt really safe. Also Kim was really protective. If she thought anyone in the group was trying to ask me for a selfie or FaceTime their children with me she was extremely protective and I was so shocked and grateful.'
Sia explained how Kim 'intervened in a situation' whens she thought someone was about 'to try and exploit me' when the group were at her house.
'I couldn't believe it... Kim was so protective of me so now if anyone tries to criticise them I will literally kick them in the nuts,' Sia joked.
'Not only are they really the nicest people, so kind and lovely people - who might make bad decisions sometimes like everybody else but they're on camera doing it - I just adore them and they work harder than any woman, man or them that I've ever met in my life.'
Sia doubled down on this latter point telling listeners that the Kardashian family frequently work from 4am in the morning until 2am the following night so it frustrates her when people criticise the famous siblings.
With multiple flourishing businesses, one of the longest-standing reality shows around and their rise to become one of the world's most recognised families, Sia's assertion is certainly difficult to dispute.
