“Weirdly, a party of losers was also how NBC advertised the debate,” Jost quipped.
Jost followed up by mentioning the moment Ramaswamy mentioned Nikki Haley’s daughter to which she said, “Leave my daughter out of your voice.”
The comedian then joked saying that Haley quoted “directly from the Japanese subtitles of the Will Smith slap.”
Taking a jab at Joe Biden was next after polls showed Donald Trump leading and pundits calling Biden’s presidential campaign a “five-alarm fire.” Jost then joked, “Which is scary for Biden because in a fire you have to use the stars,” reminding everyone when Biden tripped walking up the stairs.
Che recalled that Trump testified under oath “in his civil fraud trial” adding, “So technically he was never sworn in because the Bibles kept bursting into flames.”
Jared Leto was in the news this week when he climbed the Empire State Building to promote his band 30 Seconds to Mars.
“The way the promotion works is if we buy enough albums he’ll jump,” Jost joked.
