Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s matching glitter 'fits are the real Super Bowl winners
It goes without saying the Super Bowl is a big deal in the United States. But, over recent years, its popularity has been growing this side of the pond too. Whether it's more people getting into American football, the hype around the half-time show that's basically a mini concert (this year from Usher), to celebrity spotting in the crowds – there really is something for everyone.
And at this year's event, there was even a fashion show before the game! Yep that's right, ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs taking on the San Francisco 49ers, the models – err, we mean players – arrived in *style*, strutting their stuff in designer garms as they made their way to the locker rooms.
No doubt our favourite look on the pre-game runway belonged to Travis Kelce. Sure, his custom Amiri look was chic AF, but more than that it perfectly coordinated with Taylor Swift's ensemble.
Taylor was spotted cheering on her boyfriend from a luxury box alongside her bestie Blake Lively and other famous faces including Ice Spice and Lana Del Rey. Perhaps knowing all eyes (and camera lenses) would be on her throughout the evening, she pulled out all the stops in a Dion Lee black corset top with a crochet bodice paired with black jeans featuring cut-outs on each thigh. The slashes were bejewelled with diamantes and it's no exaggeration to say we are obsessed.
Travis got the glitter and black memo for his own attire. His Amiri black and grey tweed jacket paired with matching wide-leg trousers sparkled like a disco ball as he walked under the stadium's strip lighting. He added a simple black tee underneath, with black suede cowboy boots on his feet. Oversized black sunglasses, layered chain necklaces and a large black holdall completed the look.
