Teacher’s Aide Found Dead in Car Over 1 Week After She Was Last Seen Leaving Texas School

Although Kylie Doyle's cause of death remains pending, Texas police said "there were no obvious signs of foul play" in the death of the missing mom

A 43-year-old teacher's aide in Texas was found dead in a car more than a week after she disappeared, authorities said.

Kylie Doyle was last seen leaving Lebanon Trail High School in Frisco around 11:40 a.m. local time on April 19, according to the Frisco Police Department. The next day, her husband reported her missing.

On Monday, April 29, police said they received information that a vehicle belonging to Doyle "may have been located at an apartment complex in the 9300 block of Wade Boulevard in Frisco."

"The responding officer, as well as a Plano PD detective at the scene, confirmed that the vehicle belonged to the missing person and observed a deceased subject inside," Frisco Police said. "Frisco PD detectives and the CSI Unit were summoned to the scene, and the Collin County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to take custody of the body."

Doyle was identified as the victim inside, and her next of kin were notified, according to authorities.

Amid the search for Doyle, her parents told NBC affiliate KXAS-TV that the mother of three's disappearance was odd.

"It would be unusual for her to leave that early in the day," he said. "She would typically leave after class which would be around 3 o'clock in the afternoon, so it was unusual to leave and speculation would say maybe she went out to lunch or whatever, but I can't speculate."

The Frisco Police Department noted that while the cause of death was pending, a preliminary investigation found "there were no obvious signs of foul play."

Police said the investigation is ongoing and no additional information is being released at this time.
