Teenager in critical condition after being hit by Toyota pick-up truck in Livingston
A schoolboy is in a critical condition in hospital after being hit by a pick-up truck in West Lothian.
The 15-year-old was struck by the white Toyota Hilux on Almondvale Boulevard in Livingston at around 7.45pm on Monday.
The teenager was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People in Edinburgh for treatment, where medical staff described his condition as critical.
Police Scotland said the driver of the Toyota was uninjured in the collision.
The road was closed for around four hours for investigation works.

Road Policing Sergeant Jamie Humpage said: "Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing. I would urge anyone who may have seen the crash to come forward.
"In addition, if you have dashcam footage that could help with our investigation then please contact us."
