Terri Irwin wants Chandler to 'sign prenup' before marrying Bindi
Proposal rumours have been circulating about Bindi Irwin and boyfriend Chandler Powell the last couple of weeks.
And with wedding bells on the horizon mother Terri Irwin has stepped up to the plate to protect the Irwin legacy and the fortune that comes with it according to a report in Woman's Day on Monday.
"Of course Terri is overjoyed Bindi and Chandler are so happy," an insider told the outlet, "but she's always been cautious about them making such a big commitment so young."
"She's worked hard to keep Steve's legacy going since his death and she wants to make sure if things were to turn sour between Bindi and Chandler, it's not the family business that suffers," the source adds.
A stressed Terri has reportedly been doing everything to make sure the boyfriend of her eldest daughter will be signing a prenup, in order to protect the families multi-million assets.
The prenup news comes after Chandler's grandfather made a statement to the outlet saying that "They're anxiously waiting for an announcement."
"They want to be sure the timing is right, because they are popular and they won't want any pressure on them," he told the publication.
Despite the whispers of a wedding and a prenup, a representative for the Irwin family told Be, "There is no truth to this report. It’s just tabloid gossip."
