For instance, Evans offered a glimpse via a March 2024 TikTok video of what she was wearing to go see her boyfriend and find out if he was two-timing her.

“I’m wearing my hoops obviously, you’ve gotta have great hoops,” Evans said with tears. “I’m wearing my big fur coat because it’s armor.”

Evans was also the creator of Club Rat, a show that began as a TikTok series in 2023 before it was made available to buy per Amazon Prime. In a TikTok video from this past February, Evans wrote: “Me thinking about how I spent a year of my life and all my savings to create a comedy series about women by women, only to find out people don’t spend money on independently produced media, they just watch what’s included with their streaming service.”

In a TikTok clip from March, the social media star shared her struggles with mental health on the platform, saying she began therapy when she was 16.

“When I was 16 I was forcibly taken to a wilderness therapy program and spent almost a year in treatment centers,” she wrote in the caption. “Today, I'm a filmmaker and I developed a TV show based on my experience :).”

On April 21, Eva’s sister Lila announced the news of the TikToker’s death via Instagram.

“Please share this post so that it reaches everyone it needs to,” Lila earlier wrote. “Yesterday my family received news that our sweet, fabulous, creative, caring, hilarious Eva, my beautiful sister, has died. after 24 hours, I still find myself in a constant cycle of denial and acceptance, so I know how unbelievable and hard to process this news will be.”

Lila later continued in her post: “I wish I had Eva here now to refer to because she would have better words and know how to say what I don’t,” Lila continued. “I am keeping this brief, so we can plan for the next few days, but you’ll be hearing a lot more from me on how much Eva means to me and just how different the world will be without her.”

She then concluded her caption with, “All my love, Lila.”

Along with Lila, Evans is survived by her mother Heather and two other sisters, Zoe and Sofi, E! News reported.

Following the announcement of Evans’ death at the time, Julia Fox reshared Lila’s Instagram post on her Instagram Stories, writing, “I can’t believe this. RIP @ITSEVAEVANS I’m going to miss you so much. Thank you for sharing so much of your light with us.”

"Rest in peace, angel Eva ❤️ you were always kind to me when others couldn’t be bothered. Will never forget that kindness,” The Hills star Lo Bosworth commented under Evans’ final Instagram post from April 17.
