The Traitors finalist Wilf says he was burgled at knifepoint
BBC reality TV star Wilfred Webster said he was left terrified when he discovered an intruder in his home.
The Traitors star Wilfred Webster revealed he has "never felt so scared" as when he discovered intruders in his home. He said one of them eventually ran at him with a knife.
Webster, who narrowly lost out on £100,000 in the final of the 2022 series of The Traitors, told his Instagram followers that his house was broken into on Thursday morning.
He explained that his wife had left for work and he was wearing headphones while watching something on Netflix, only to notice that his bedroom door was unexpectedly open.
"Turns out it’s some low life piece of s*** burgling my house in a balaclava," Webster wrote in a caption to several pictures of missing glass panels in his door.
"I jumped off the bed in shock and he ran downstairs and out the back of the house via a window. I ran out of the front door and stood in the garden in shock and the pair of melts walked around the corner and I spotted them.
"One of them shouted ‘stab him’ and then ran at me with a big knife. Quickly I ran back into my house and shut the door and phoned the police."
Webster explained that he had not charged his video doorbell, but was thankful that his neighbours had done so and were able to provide evidence to the police of the vehicle the intruders used to flee the scene.
The 30-year-old reality TV star explained that he has been left shaken and advised his followers to make sure their own video doorbells and security measures were in proper working order.
He said: "I’ve been through a lot in my life but I have never felt so scared. My house is my safe space and to have someone break in and take away that safety is horrible."
Webster shot to fame for being one of the villainous Traitors on the first series of the hit reality show. In the second series, aired this year, Harry Clark managed to succeed where Wilf didn't and win the game as a Traitor.
Clark won £95,150 by convincing fellow contestant Mollie Pearce that he was on her side, having built a friendship with her throughout the show.
The Traitors has been a ratings hit and has already been commissioned for a third series. We can't wait to return to the castle for more deception and betrayal.
