Travis Kelce Says Winning 2024 Super Bowl Made Him 'Feel Like a Little Kid Again’
Kelce and the Chiefs won their third Super Bowl in five years with a 25-22 overtime win over the San Francisco 49ers
He now has three Super Bowl wins under his belt, but Travis Kelce was soaking in the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory in the 2024 Super Bowl on Sunday night like it was the first time.
“Even at this point in my career, winning makes you feel like a little kid all over again,” Kelce, 34, told ESPN after the game with a huge smile.
Kelce and the Chiefs wrote a fairy tale ending to their season with a dramatic 25-22 overtime win over the San Francisco 49ers to win their third Super Bowl in five years. The Chiefs tight end celebrated the win with his teammates before finding his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, and sharing a kiss on the field as she congratulated him on an “unbelievable” game.
After about an hour of celebrations after the game, Kelce began to reflect on what the Super Bowl victory meant to him at this point in his career during an interview with ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt.
“Man, I stopped chasing stats a long, long time again and started chasing legacy and where my heart was at and where I wanted to be as a professional,” Kelce said. “And I couldn’t be more proud to be a part of a team with these guys and be a part of the greatness every single day and the drive every single day.”
Kelce added: “This game is so beautiful when you’re doing things the right way. You put in the grind, you put in the hard work, you reap those rewards. It’s just a beautiful, beautiful atmosphere and I couldn’t be more proud of the guys.”
Kelce led the Chiefs with nine receptions for 93 yards in the game, including a 22-yard catch with 0:16 seconds left in the fourth quarter that helped set up his team for a game-tying field goal. Minutes later, the Chiefs won the game in overtime.
The Chiefs became the first team to win back-to-back Super Bowls since Tom Brady led the New England Patriots to back-to-back wins in 2003 and 2004.

Kelce and the Chiefs’ road to their third Super Bowl win was not an easy one, having to defeat multiple other championship favorites on the road during the playoffs, including wins over the Miami Dolphins, the Buffalo Bills, and the Baltimore Ravens. The Chiefs were considered an underdog coming into the Super Bowl against the 49ers.

Kelce flashed another childlike grin when Van Pelt asked how he planned to celebrate the Super Bowl in Las Vegas after the game.
“It’s going to be an absolute blast,” Kelce laughed. “I’m going to party my tail off.”
