UK ticketholder wins share of £123m EuroMillions jackpot

A lucky UK ticketholder has scooped a share of £123m after winning the EuroMillions jackpot.

If claimed, the winner will receive £61,708,231 - as they will have to share the total with a fellow ticketholder based in Spain.

The winning numbers were: 5, 10, 19, 27, 30 - while the Lucky Stars were 5 and 6.

Andy Carter, senior winners' adviser at the National Lottery, described it as an "amazing night" and said it was the first UK EuroMillions jackpot win of 2024.

He also urged players to check their tickets.

Players have also been asked to check their tickets for a EuroMillions draw on 16 January, as a £1m prize from a ticket bought in Shropshire has not yet been claimed.

Mr Carter urged those who bought tickets to "look everywhere" including in clothes, bags, the car, wallets and purses.

Anyone not in possession of their ticket, but who believes they have a genuine claim to a prize, can still submit an application in writing within 30 days of a draw.

Friday's jackpot is an estimated £14m.
