Valerie Bertinelli is getting candid about the possibility of being a grandparent.

The One Day at a Time star, 64, shared her hopes of being a grandma on the latest episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show, though she also noted that she doesn’t want to pressure her son Wolfgang Van Halen into having kids anytime soon.

When host Jennifer Hudson asked the cookbook author about when she'll become a grandma, Bertinelli placed her finger to her mouth and said, “Shhhh.”

“Only because I’m doing my very, very best to not be one of those parents or moms that’s just like, you know, ‘You just got married, so when’s the baby coming?,’ “ she explained.

She also went on to discuss her Mother’s Day plans and said that she is currently planning on “doing nothing” for the holiday. She added that her son “will probably be on the road” and she won’t be “seeing him,” but it’s all “good.”

Wolfgang, 32, married Allsop in October, 2023 at home in Los Angeles in front of 90 friends and family members. Bertinelli previously shared clips from the event during a year-in-review Instagram post, including one of her dancing with a wedding guest and a selfie of her and other attendees.

"I have so much gratitude for my family and friends, finally being able to freely spend time with them has been such a big source of comfort, joy, hilarity, and healing. I love them all so," she captioned the post.

Bertinelli played an important role in the nuptials, walking her son down the aisle to an instrumental song called "316," which was written for him by his late father Eddie Van Halen.

“Ed would’ve been absolutely beaming and so, so proud of the man Wolfie has become and is becoming and so happy that he has found Andraia, someone who really understands Wolfie, who he is and who he wants to be, and supports him wholeheartedly,” Bertinelli previously told PEOPLE.

Wolfgang told PEOPLE that his main goal for the ceremony was to celebrate his relationship with Allsop with his loved ones. "For me, it was ... just to have a wonderful time with friends and family and to be married. Pretty simple," he said.
