The View Hosts Had to Evacuate Studio After Fire Broke Out Next Door at Tamron Hall — WATCH

What, did the Topics get too Hot?

No, it was a grease fire in the kitchen at the Tamron Hall show, which shares a studio with ABC’s The View, that triggered an evacuation of the daytime talkers’ building on Wednesday morning — forcing Tamron Hall to cue up an explanation (watch below) and a rerun.

The View‘s hosts, meanwhile, returned to the studio in time to start their gabfest as scheduled, entering to Billy Joel’s “We Didn’t Start the Fire.” (Watch video above.)

After cohost Whoopi Goldberg promptly explained that the fire had started next door at The Tamron Hall Show — a New York City Fire Department response team “discovered burnt food on the stove in the building,” per EW.com — her View colleagues got to sharing anecdotes about the evacuation.

“I was coming in from the airport, and [we had] a Hot Topics meeting, so I pressed the Zoom link thinking I would find all of you,” shared Ana Navarro. Instead, all Navarro was met with was a screen that was “dark, empty and flashing lights. I thought, ‘Holy hell!'”

Alyssa Farah Griffin said that the scare “really made understand my priorities, because once I saw that all the hosts were fine, I was like, ‘Where is my glam team?'”

In the video above, shared on social media, Hall explained, “We had a grease fire in our kitchen.

“We were in place preparing for our live show today, the audience was in the holding area…. but as my friend Debbie Smith says, ‘Sometimes life be life-ing,'” Hall continued, noting that everyone involved with the show as well as their audience was “safe.”
