Warwick Davis’ family share heartwarming update after actor’s ‘concerning’ message
Warwick Davis and his family have launched a JustGiving page in memory of his late wife Samantha after his “concerning” message to fans.
The grieving Harry Potter actor revealed last week that he was stepping away from social media after announcing the death of his wife, 53, last month.
Davis' children, Annabelle, 27, and Harrison, 21, took to his account to announce the launch of a JustGiving page named Sammy’s Helping Hands, aimed at raising funds for Little People UK.
They wrote: “Our Mum, the kindest, most inspirational and loving Mumma we could have wished for, devastatingly passed away on March 24.
“While it's a very difficult time for us, we're humbled by everyone who has reached out to offer support & to express how Sammy impacted their lives.
“Dad wanted us to share the project that we have all started for Mum. Through her work with Little People UK, Sammy was passionate about helping younger members of the dwarfism community, in particular those of school age.
“In order to continue the amazing work she did, we have set up 'Sammy's Helping Hands”, a Just Giving page. Find out more here.
“We understand times are hard, simply sharing this message helps us spread awareness for the charity and the work they do.
“Thank you again for your kindness, love and support. We send love to you and your families. The Davis' xx.”
A total of almost £15,000 has already been raised for the chosen charity at the time of writing.
The news comes days after Davis sparked concern over a social media post he made following the death of his wife, which read: "I'm done here. Signing off” alongside a broken heart emoji.
The post alarmed Davis’ followers on X, formerly Twitter, prompting his children to reassure them that he simply meant he was taking time away from social media. They wrote on his official account: “Thank you everyone for looking out for our Dad, he is taking some time away from social media.

Warwick's final photo of himself with Samantha before her passing was shared in October.
In the photo, both Warwick and Davis are seen smiling directly at the camera, radiating joy.
He captioned it: “A long overdue date night with my beautiful wife. She felt a bit overdressed for McDonald’s!”
Last Wednesday, the Star Wars actor revealed that the actress had passed away on March 24 at the age of 53.
