Remember The Bachelor's live After the Final Rose? When the world found out that Peter Weber had broken off his engagement with Hannah Ann and pivoted back to Madison? Yeah, I've also been trying to block it out.

Anyway, as a reminder, Madison and Peter's romantic reunion didn't exactly go well thanks to Peter's mom visibly glaring at Madi the entire night—not to mention straight-up calling her out. Direct quote: “He’s going to have to fail to succeed. That’s it. Chris, all his friends, all his family, everyone that knows him knows that it’s not going to work, so we’ve been trying to help him."

Scared. Anyway, Peter just went on Nick Viall's podcast The Viall Files where he was naturally asked about his mom's antics. And nope, he did not call out her behavior.

"Listen, my family in general, they're my rock," he said. "I'll defend them 'til the day I die. I love them more than anything. They truly just want the best for me. In regards to what occurred on stage, you know,... could [my mom's] delivery been different? 100 percent. But where that was coming from was a place of pure love. That's who my mom is. I respect the hell out of my mom. To be able to speak her mind and not feel the pressure to cave in to a certain narrative on live television, in front of millions of people... that takes a strong person. That's the love of a mother."

I mean...I kinda agree with him tbh.
