Why Disney Princesses all wear blue
From Elsa to Belle, Ariel and Snow White, Disney Princesses all wear blue in some shade or another.
But what you might not have known is that there is apparently a very specific reason for this.
And that is to send the message of strength and empowerment – even though they need to be rescued by Prince Charming every now and then.
Colour experts say that blue is the colour of trust, calm and serenity, as well as confidence.
We seem to have a natural preference for blue and it’s all because of the sky.
“It’s something to look forward to, to see that blue sky,” the executive director of the Pantone Colour Institute tells Allure.
“It’s dependable. It’s reliable. It might cloud up, but we know it’s there.”
So basically Disney wants people to know that its Princesses are the best because they are loyal, reliable and confident.
Even more reason to love them.
