This is why Vanessa Villela is not in Selling Sunset season 6
Fans of Selling Sunset will be happy to know season 6 just dropped on Netflix [19 May], but there's been a shake up at The Oppenheim Group - which means while there are new faces to get used to, we've also waved goodbye to some, too. So where has Vanessa Villela gone?
If you've been anywhere near the internet in the last 12 months, you won't be surprised to hear that Christine Quinn is officially absent from Selling Sunset season 6. The real estate agent was at the centre of the drama last time around, after Emma Hernan accused her of attempting to bribe one of her clients - something Christine vehemently denies.
Last August, Christine revealed she had left The Oppenheim Group to launch her own brokerage, which means she no longer appears on the show. But one agent whose exit we weren't expecting was Vanessa Villela.
The 45-year-old joined the brokerage in season 4, starring on the show for two seasons. In a new interview with PEOPLE, Vanessa explained she's no longer part of The Oppenheim Group, so wouldn't star in the Netflix series, instead returning to rival brokerage The Agency (aka, the stars of Buying Beverly Hills.)
"I am super excited to be back at The Agency," she said. "It's where my career started so it feels extremely good to be back. It feels like home. I am surrounded by incredible top agents — successful and collaborative people who work like a family. I know that I'm in the right place."
Is that shade? Sure feels like it. Vanessa then confirmed it was a "mutual decision", but that there were "definitely no hard feelings" with the remaining members of the cast, adding, "obviously you get along really well with some and don't click as well with others, and that's the show."
Sad to see you go Vanessa, but at least we've got Bre and Nicole to shake things up at The O Group.
Selling Sunset season 6 is now streaming on Netflix.
