Wildcats, everywhere! Rosalía is giving Troy Bolton in basketball jersey dress
High School Musical may have been released 18 years ago (!!) but we can still burst out into lyric-perfect renditions of 'Breaking Free', 'Get'cha Head in the Game', 'Stick to the Status Quo' and of course, 'We're All in This Together'. Complete with choreography, no less. Basically the entire film soundtrack, because every single song is a bop. Don't even get us started on the sequels...
And it turns out Rosalía is also a fan of the iconic Disney film. Maybe. Or maybe she just likes basketball. Either way, there's no denying the resemblance of her latest look to a certain Troy Bolton's signature red basketball uniform.
The Spanish singer-songwriter – who's rumoured to be dating Jeremy Allen White, FYI – stepped out in New York yesterday [Wednesday 1 May] wearing an oversized red jersey-style mini dress with white trim and featuring a central emblem. It appeared to be initials in a gothic font, though was hard to clearly decipher beneath the black coat she layered over the top.
Black knee-high boots completed the minimal 'fit, with Rosalía forgoing any accessories. Even her beauty look was stripped back. Her long hair was unstyled, left loose down her back and she appeared to be make-up-free for the outing.
Having been all over our fashion radar last year due to daring looks including a cut-out safety pin tank top, a lingerie style lace dress and a gold metal nipple pasties 'fit, the artist seems to have kept a much lower profile so far in 2024. Though her latest outing comes a day after she stepped out in another trend-led ensemble.
Donning a boho lace maxi dress that nailed the cottagecore aesthetic, she mixed it with a cream jacket that was somewhere between a biker-style leather jacket and straightjacket due to its multiple black leather belt straps.
Here's hoping this is just the start of plenty more Rosalía fashion sightings!
